Monthly Social Meeting for Makers, Tinkerers and Creatives

Come join us for a series of monthly gathering at a newly opened venue. This is a free event for anyone interested in being surrounded by Makers, Tinkerers, Creatives and More.

Feel free to arrive as early as 6:30pm. Someone will be at the door to let you in until 7pm. After that, knock on the door or ring the doorbell, then we'll let you in.

There is no set agenda, so feel free to walk in and get to know other local makers. We also invite people to bring, share or discuss interesting projects they've seen or are working on. It can be anything from crochet to circuit boards. We'll have tables available for you to set it out for display. Share your highlights and lessons, and get the chance to ask for advice. We want to hear all the technical details and share a laugh over the silly mistakes. Attendees are welcome to simply socialize and participate in stimulating conversations with other Makers.

This is a trial series of meetings for our little community. Attendance is important to let us know whether you like the venue and you're interested in these kinds of informal social events in the future. Feel free to make suggestions to the host or drop a comment.

This meeting is kindly hosted by our friends from ​Zero Waste San Diego, a nonprofit with 18 years of sustainability leadership with a new facility: the Reuse & Repair Collective in downtown San Diego. Currently focused on events, this community hub will also soon be providing tool and repair expertise.
​🚲 Parking & Transportation
Please be aware that there is a steep hill to reach the entrance.
​• Public transit: We’re just a short walk from the trolley and several bus routes.
​• Free street parking: 2-hour free parking is available on Beech St & 6th Ave in front of the venue. There is typically lots of street parking available in the evenings.
​• Meters: Many paid parking meters are available nearby.
​• ACE Parking: hourly private parking is available at nearby ACE Parking lots.
​• Bikes: Free bike storage is available onsite for attendees.
​​✨ Our host encourages carpooling, public transit, walking, or biking whenever possible!

Open to everyone in San Diego, this Factory Open Studio Night invites you inside San Diego Made to meet all of our incredible tenants. These are the artists, designers, and small businesses that make this place truly special. Wander through working studios, connect with the creators, and experience the energy of a space built on collaboration and craft.
San Diego Made is a woman founded, women led nonprofit, and this event reflects our mission of uplifting local talent, fostering creative entrepreneurship, and building a vibrant and inclusive arts community.

The Barrio Logan Science & Art Expo (BLS&AE) will be hosted in conjunction with the Barrio Logan Association, and various community partners. It will be taking place on *Saturday *at the Mercado del Barrio in Barrio Logan.
The event will provide a family-friendly environment where curiosity and exploration will intersect creativity and culture. There will also be parent-oriented booths and resources, healthcare orientation, college readiness for students, and other community opportunities.

What To Expect:
● Interactive science shows and demonstrations lead by local industry and business partners.
● Live performances and demonstrations that highlight the science behind lowriders and cars, animals, fossils, and art activities with paint and silk screening.
● Dozens of interactive science booths for kids and adults to explore art and science.
● Community businesses presenting the science behind their work.
