In our monthly tool workshop, participants will learn the safe usage of the tools listed below. This is an overview of best practices for tool use at Hatch and can benefit even the most experienced maker. Please wear close-toed shoes!

Participants will be guided through a demonstration of the tools in this cooperative training. Participants will cut, saw, drill, clamp, and more. All questions will be fielded and participants are welcome to bring their own expertise to the training.
In conjunction with the tool training, participants will also learn about Personal Protective Equipment and safety procedures. This includes: when to wear safety glasses, gloves, respiratory protection, proper footwear and clothing, basic first aid, and what to do in the case of an emergency.
