Welding - Intro to TIG

In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of TIG welding and gain the confidence to use a TIG welding machine independently. Mild steel will be provided for welding practice and you may take your work home. Stainless steel and aluminum will be discussed but not welded during the class due to their complexity. Our instructor will guide you through the process step by step, tool by tool.

Additional Information:
Attendees must be at least 13 years and up. Please wear a long sleeve shirt to prevent burns. After the successful completion of this class attendees will be given a certificate allowing them access to the Metal Shop and use of the TIG Welder with a paid Make Salt Lake membership. Note that this class does not cover the use of the Forge or other welder types.
