The Future of Live Sound Mixing - live demo - BYO instrument!

What if audio systems were entirely rethought as data systems?
Join Sacha Krstulovic from Green Light Audio for a live demo and Q&A on AVB networked audio—a new approach to digital sound that could make the mixing desk obsolete.
Analogue audio cables of the XLR type, invented in the 1950s, are still the staple in many live music stages and audio production studios. Now digital audio processing and networked audio standards have been developed to bring audio production and audio transport into the 21st century, with pristine digital quality, more flexible audio routing options and more efficient setups.
But networked audio can reach beyond audio transport: what if audio systems were entirely rethought as data systems?
After a brief tutorial about networked audio and the AVB/MILAN standard, this demo session will show you how AVB can deliver "plug and play" audio transport with extremely low latency, how you could get rid of a mixing console to reliably mix live music with a laptop instead, what the future of live audio could look like and what value could be created if more audio processing products and systems were developed based on this type of technology.
If you are curious about digital audio and music technology then this session is for you
BYO instrument! Bring your music instruments for a real-time live mixing experience.
This is for musicians, engineers, producers and audio tinkerers (anyone really!) who want to glimpse (and play) the future.
