Hands-on forest work and organic farming experience

We are working to revive a neglected forest and make it a place for exchange among people from all over the world.
We aim to maintain this forest, creating a comfortable space to share and learn.

In our upcoming event, we will not only improve the forest space but also use fallen leaves effectively to make leaf compost for our organic farm.
You can join this project to revive the forest, be active in nature, and learn about organic farming.

For lunch, we will cook and eat together in the forest using organic vegetables from our farm.
As it's getting colder, we are also looking forward to gathering around a campfire.

Event Schedule

• 8:00: Catch the 8:00 am train from Ikebukuro station (If coming from Tokyo)
• 9:06: Arrive at Ogawamachi Station
• 9:10: Meet in front of Ogawamachi Station
• 9:10-9:20: Self-introductions
• 9:20-9:50: Walk through the town to the forest
• 9:50-12:00: Collecting fallen leaves & maintaining the forest
• 12:00-13:00: Lunch
• 13:00-13:30: Free time (chatting, relaxing, forest bathing, hiking in the forest)
• 13:30-14:30: Making leaf compost
• 14:30-15:00: Return to Ogawamachi Station

・We have a toilet near the forest

・After the event, explore nearby attractions such as the following.

■ Participation Fee:
・500 yen.
・The fee will be used to cover the cost of ingredients for lunch, preparation, and guide expenses.

■ Meeting Place and Time
・In front of the entrance to Ogawamachi Station on the Tobu Tojo Line (not Ogawamachi in Tokyo, but in Saitama Prefecture).
・Direct connection from Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo on the Tobu Tojo Line, no transfers required.
・Meet at 9:10 AM.
・Please note that we cannot wait for those who arrive late.

■ Dress Code:
・In the forest, you may encounter mosquitoes, horseflies, etc. It's advisable to wear clothing that fully covers your skin; leggings or spats may not be sufficient. Alternatively, bringing insect repellent spray is recommended.
・While hiking shoes are ideal for easier walking to hike, wearing sneakers is also acceptable and won't be a big problem.

■My Requests to participants
・Please bring your own drinking water.
・We will send a message a few days before the event to confirm the total number of participants, so please reply.
・Please take your own trash with you.
・Note that we will not be responsible for any injuries, accidents, lost or stolen items, damages, or other issues that may occur during the event.

I speak both English and Japanese, so don't worry about the language.

私たちは、荒れた森を再生し、国際交流の場としての森づくりを行っています。
荒れた森を整備し、快適な空間を作り出し、様々な国の人たちと交流して共に学びあえる場を作ろうとしています。

今回のイベントでは、森の整備による快適な場作りに加え、森の落ち葉を有効活用し、私たちのオーガニックファームのための落ち葉堆肥作りを行います。
自然の中で体を動かしたり、有機農業について学んだりしながら森の再生プロジェクトに加わることができます。

ランチは、私たちの畑の有機野菜を使用して、森で簡単にみんなで調理して食べる予定です。
寒くなってきたので、温かい焚き火を囲みながら皆さんとの交流するのも楽しみにしています。

■タイムスケジュール
8:00: 池袋駅から午前8時の電車に乗る（東京から来る場合）
9:06: 小川町駅に到着
9:10: 小川町駅前で集合
9:10-9:20: 自己紹介
9:20-9:50: 町を通って森へ歩く
9:50-12:00: 落ち葉集め・森の整備
12:00-13:00: ランチ
13:00-13:30: 自由時間（おしゃべり、リラックス、森林浴、森でハイキング）
13:30-14:30: 落ち葉堆肥作り
14:30-15:00: 小川町駅へ戻る
*当日の状況によってスケジュールは変更になる可能性があります。

・イベントの前日や当日に町で宿泊されたい方は、いくつか宿泊場所があるのでご相談ください。

■ 参加費:
・500 yen.
・ランチの食材や準備、ガイドの費用に充させていただきます。

■ 集合場所と時間
・東武東上線小川町駅の入り口前（東京の小川町ではなく埼玉県の小川町です。）
・東京の池袋駅から東武東上線で直通、乗り換えなし。
・午前9:10
・遅れて到着された方をお待ちすることはできませんので、お気をつけください。

■ ドレスコード:
・森では、蚊やブヨ、アブなどがいることがあるので、肌の露出を避ける服装（スパッツやレギンスなどよりも厚手のもの）で来られるか、虫除けスプレーをご準備されることをお勧めします。
・ハイキングシューズだと山や森で歩きやすいですが、スニーカーでも問題はありません。

■ 参加者の皆様へのお願い:
・ご自身の飲料水をお持ちください。
・イベントの数日前に参加者の総数を確認するメッセージを送りますので、ご返信をお願いします。
・ごみは各自でお持ち帰りください。
・イベント中に発生した怪我、事故、紛失や盗難、損害、その他の問題については責任を負いかねますので、ご了承ください。

ガイドが英語と日本語の両方を話しますので、言葉の心配はいりません。
