Let's hope Spring is finally here, let's learn about how to create better portraits outdoor!

In this workshop, I want to share with you several techniques on how to make better portrait shots, especially in various locations, adjusting to different lighting conditions and working with various models at the same time. These are essential skills for working with real clients in engagement/wedding photography.

Who is this workshop session for:

The workshop is cater to anyone who is interested in portrait and artistic photography. If you just starting out with your DSLR, then you will learn a number of lighting and model posing tips from this workshop. If you are a semi-professional photographer and is looking to update your portfolio, this workshop will be perfect for you. The only requirement is that you know how to manually control your camera such as setting the ISO, shutter speed, and aperture.

What you will learn:

• how to work with location shooting

• how to use various lighting techniques (e.g. speedlights and modifiers)

• how to work with a couple to create an engagement photo album

Time/Date:

Saturday April 29 2017 - between 3:30pm and 5:30pm

We will first meet at the North Side of the St. Lawrence Market. We will then find various locations around the area for shooting.

Models:

We are having 2 experienced models who have done numerous fashion/runway modelling. Both are full of energy, fun and creative. See below from previous shoots

We will be working with a dress designer for this engagement shoot.

What should you be bringing:

• Your DSLR or Micro 4/3 camera with a standard hot shoe, empty memory card, fully charged battery

• Any fast prime lenses will be great for this session. Any zoomed lenses between 24 mm and 200 mm lenses will be amazing!

Model Release Form:

A non-commercial model release form will be signed by the model for the photographer to use his/her images for personal use such as self-promotion in any medium. Photographic prints of the photos/images may be displayed and sold in art galleries and online. The model(s) will also have some personal uses for his or her own images.

Refund Policy:

A credit will be given for another workshop in case of cancellation or if you cancel a week (7 days) prior to the event.
