Welcome to the Filming Group!

This is a brand-new group, so thanks for joining us—and for your patience as we find our rhythm.
We don’t have a set agenda yet; our first few meetups will help us figure out what works best and how many people are interested.
The idea is simple: once a month (likely on a weekend), we’ll come together—whether you have zero experience or years of it—and connect over our love of film.
At the first meetup, we’ll:

• Introduce ourselves (share a little about our background, why we’re here, and what we hope to get out of the group).
• Brainstorm and discuss ideas—anything from short skits to scenes, music videos, or original short films.
• Decide which ideas we want to pursue and start planning them out.

We’ll start meeting in the James Bay area, possibly in Beacon Hill Park, but locations may change as the group grows. After our first meetup, we’ll: pick an idea to film, choose a date for filming, shoot the project on that day, edit the film, and then do it all over again!
What to bring: just yourself and your ideas for the first meeting, experience or none. For the filming day, if you have gear, awesome; if not, no problem—we’ll figure things out together and get creative with what we have.
The main goal: meet like-minded people, collaborate on projects, and have fun making films together.
