Choosing a script!

Thank you all for your patience!

Since our last meetup, it seemed like a lot of ideas have been brewing—so… why not share them?

(Meeting place will be The Bent Mast, November 23rd at 1pm. They would appreciate it if you bought something before you come upstairs, even if it's a drink.)

Here’s the plan:
We’ll meet at a coffee shop. Bring any scripts you’ve been working on—whether it’s a skit, music video, documentary, or something totally different—and pitch them to the group! We’ll read through them together, give feedback, and share ideas.

If you don’t have anything written yet, that’s totally fine! Feel free to jump in with ideas or take part as an actor during the table read.
After we’ve read through the scripts, we’ll decide which project to film first (filming will happen on a different day). Ideally, we’ll also have time to go through the chosen script and make a few edits together—but if we run out of time, we can always follow up later.

Eventually, I’d love for us to film and edit all of your awesome projects, so we’ll create an order that makes the most sense for production.

Please note the date isn’t set in stone just yet, but that’s the goal!

Also, if you’re writing scenes, try to keep them under 10 pages. (A good rule of thumb: one page equals about one minute of screen time.) That way, we’ll have plenty of time to discuss everyone’s work. (Ideally, 1-5 pages would be best!)

And one last thing—it’s totally normal to feel nervous to share! Everyone’s at different levels, with different experiences and ideas. I hope that you leave feeling proud of what you’ve written. :)

P.S. It says only 10 people can attend, so if it's full, please don't hesitate to come! Just let me know ahead of time so I can get a head count. Thanks! If too many people are coming and I can't find a space, we might have to do it online.
