Sunset Walk through the wild Favoriten (aka 10th district)

Who wants to join for sunset at Wienerberg?

IMPORTANT: Please really, really only sign-up if you indeed intend to make every effort to attend! As we want to be a caring and respectful community, blocking a spot and then not showing up is quite unfair to the people on the waiting list - so please avoid doing this! And in case your plans change, please also cancel well ahead in time and not half an hour before the event! I truly appreciate your cooperation to have the best experience for all of us! And now talking business …

We meet at the U1 Troststraße station (exit Klausenburger Straße), then we'll head through Favoriten and past the former Anker factory, through the Laaerwald forest to the Bohemian Prater, and then across the Laaerberg, before getting nearby the Generali Arena and with a view of the Anninger mountain slowly reaching our final destination at Wienerberg for sunset.

Distance: 8km, relatively flat (75 meters of elevation gain, or about 25 stories), asphalt or gravel path.

Duration: Approx. 2 hours

We meet at 6:15 PM to arrive at Wienerberg in time for sunset (officially at 8:47pm but due to the hills in the west the sun sets a little earlier).

After sunset, return either by tram line 11 (Sahulkastraße station, 250m away), bus 15A (Gußriegelstraße, 500m), tram line 1, or bus 65A or 15A (all at Stefan Fadinger Platz, 850m).

Alternatively, if you like, we can stop for a cozy drink at Müller Bräu (1km away) and then return via Stefan Fadinger Platz (1, 65A, 15A).

Please arrive on time at the meeting point at 6:15 PM at the U1 Troststraße (Klausenburger Straße exit) - the sunset doesn't wait ;-)

And please also cancel if you can't make it!
