Hello, hiking friend! Let’s wrap up the year with a beautiful hike through Pizarra, celebrating the end of 2025.
Join us on the Santo de Pizarra trail 🗽⛰️, a circular hike with stunning viewpoints over the Guadalhorce valley.
We’ll start through olive groves and countryside trails, then ascend to El Santo, a viewpoint crowned with a striking sculpture and breathtaking views over the valley. The hike continues to the charming Ermita de la Fuensanta, perfect for a mindful pause before heading back.

Where, when, and how to get there
⏰ Start time: 10:30 am (please arrive 10 minutes early!)
📍 Meeting point: Sendero el Santo

🚆 Public transport: You can reach the starting point in Pizarra by train. The train leaves Maria Zambrano Station at 9:43 AM (direction: Álora).
Tips for a great hike
- 🥾 Shoes: Hiking shoes with good grip are a must!
- 💧 Hydration & snacks: At least 2L of water, plus snacks or a light lunch to keep your energy up.
- 🧢 Sun protection: Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses – especially for the sunny stretches.
