This month's event speaker will be Azahara Vera Cobos, Azzy, for a talk on the topic of “Startups in Málaga: challenges, resources & lessons learned”
🚀 Meet Azahara Vera Cobos (Azzy)
Azzy, currently serves as the Head of Scouting at Startup Wise Guys, a leading accelerator program, where she plays a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing promising startups. With a remarkable career spanning 12 years, Azzy has honed her skills as a marketing specialist, collaborating with renowned brands like P&G and AMEX in Madrid and Sydney.
Since 2018, Azzy has dedicated herself to empowering the startup ecosystem in her hometown of Málaga. As Head of Scouting, she has meticulously evaluated over 1,000 startups from 135 countries, demonstrating her commitment to fostering global collaboration and innovation.
📚 Educator and Advocate: In addition to her role at Startup Wise Guys, Azzy shares her expertise as an educator, teaching entrepreneurship and marketing courses for private universities and companies. Her passion for cultivating the next generation of entrepreneurs extends beyond the classroom. Azzy is the founder of Doers Talks, a non-profit initiative aimed at inspiring action and positive change. Through Doers Talks, she has curated impactful events, including its inaugural edition in 2023, which garnered widespread acclaim, attracting 9 speakers, over 60 participants, and raising €8,000 for AMAPPACE, the Malaga Association for the Attention to Cerebral Palsy.
