Talk:
"What are Reactive Extensions and where do you want to try them?"
Abstract:
In this talk we will discuss about Reactive Extensions: What are they, what type of problems they're a good fit for and how to integrate them in your iOS application. The examples in the would use the Swift libraries RxSwift and RxCocoa. But the good thing about Reactive Extensions is that there are implementations in all major programming languages.
Speaker: Juanjo Ramos
"I started doing mobile development back in 2006 using Java ME (👴). In 2009 I convinced my company at the time to move away from Java ME and focus on iOS. I've been doing iOS work intermittently ever since. In 2013 I moved to London where I stayed until 2017. Over those years I worked first at Thomson Reuters and then at Hudl which is still where I'm working at (now remotely out of Málaga).
Hudl is a sports & technology company focused on helping teams to win and get better through video and data analysis. I developed my first feature in production using Reactive Extensions last year. After a year where I've been working with other technologies, I've decided to give Reactive Extensions a push within the company. I'm here to share with you what I've learnt so far."
