Landscape Paint Workshop — Philosophenweg, Heidelberg

Join a relaxing open-air painting session on the famous Philosophenweg in Heidelberg, overlooking the Neckar River, the Old Town, and Heidelberg Castle. The workshop is designed for beginners and experienced painters alike, focusing on landscape composition, light, color mixing, and capturing atmosphere in nature.

What to Bring

Essential Paint Colors

Please bring at least the 3 primary (“mother”) colors:

• Red
• Yellow
• Blue

These colors can be mixed to create many other shades during the workshop.

Optional Extra Colors

If you are not yet comfortable mixing colors, you may also bring:

• White
• Purple
• Brown
• Black
• Green (optional)

Recommended Materials

• Paint brushes (small and medium sizes)
• Water for wash the brush
• Palette or plate for mixing
• Pencil & eraser
• Tissue or cloth
• Apron or old shirt
• Small folding chair or blanket

Color Mixing Tip

You can create many colors using the primary colors:

• Red + Yellow = Orange
• Yellow + Blue = Green
• Blue + Red = Purple

White helps make lighter tones, while black or brown can help with shadows and earthy landscapes.
