Born of Sea Foam: Invoking Aphrodite

Born of sea foam, Aphrodite calls us like the push and pull of the tides. This class blends mythology, modern practices, and ritual to help participants build or refresh their personal relationship with the Greek goddess of beauty and love. In this workshop, we will

• Talk about Aphrodite as she is portrayed in mythology
• Look at modern applications of how folks devote themselves to Aphrodite, both from research and stories of personal practice
• Discuss how queer identity and gender expansiveness is deeply tied into Aphrodite's lore and being.
• At the end, we will perform a ritual to call on Aphrodite to crash her loving energy into us like the ocean's waves.

This is hosted by Storm of The Storm's Eye, a long-time devotee of Aphrodite.
You are welcome to bring offerings to the class altar (which you bring home after), but it's not required.
