NLP algorithms and the future of patents (AIIP)

Details
Interested in AI within Intellectual Property, and more specifically what impact NLP algorithms can have on the future of patents?
Sign up for AIIP´s first event where we will be talking about:
• What distinguishes today's NLP algorithms from those used two or three years ago?
• How AI/NLP challenge the validity of granted patents and impact future investments in IP
• How an NLP tool (based on a very recent Google algorithm) can be used hands-on (Live demo)
About the speakers:
Anders Fredriksson, Partner at AWA and European Patent Attorney. Anders has a background working in tech startups, multi-national corporations as well as the IP Industry, giving him a natural advantage seeing intellectual property from both the user-side while always keeping the legal perspective. Anders is also one of the early stage initiators of AIIP.
Henrik Benckert, founder of Mindified – specializing in AI/ML. Henrik has vast experience in data and is one of the early-stage initiators of AIIP.
Hannes Jansson, Associate AWA, is one of the developers behind PatHawk which came out as a result of AWA/Mindified's first joint Master Thesis project. Together with Jakob Navrozidis, Hannes built PatHawk in just a couple of months – a tool that is now being tested in various cases with some of AWA´s largest clients.
Henrik Aurell, Business Area Manager AWA (South Sweden), European Patent Attorney and Digital Business Lead (patent prosecution) at AWA and speaking partner on behalf of AWA in AIIP.
The session will be moderated by Cathrin Johansson, Communication Manager AWA Group and one of the early stage initiators of AIIP.
About AIIP:
AIIP was founded by AWA, Mindified, & Lunds University in 2020. What started as collaboration around a Master Thesis during 2019 has turned into a collaborative strategic partnership dedicated to experimental AI/ML within Legal Tech/IP.
