Redux Alternatives

Last year we explored a bunch of alternatives to React. Now it is time to make the same journey again, but this time looking at replacements for Redux!

To this end we have invited two distinguished speakers, who will offer competing solutions to the Redux replacement problem. They will each make their bid, and then we'll settle the matter with a battle to the death. Or a discussion.

First out is Marc Klefter, who graced our stage before to share his wisdom about React Suspense. Tonight he'll tell us about XState, a state management solution heavily based on the state machine concept. A dry academic theory with no business masquerading as a real-world alternative, or actually a viable option? Listen to Marc to find out!

After that Meris Bahtijaragic will make us forget about XState by telling us about Klyva, a library of his own making within the optics space. It has since morphed into an optics addition to the popular Jotai library, which Meris might also mention, if we're nice.

Finally we'll wrap things up with a joint discussion and Q & A session. After that you hopefully have what you need to leave Redux behind with confidence! Or be more resolved than ever to stick with it. Either way, you win!
