🌎 Voluntary Clean-Up Walk

Next Friday, on the 19th of April, we're organizing a voluntary clean-up walk.

[Purpose & Theme] 🌳
The purpose of this clean-up walk is to make a positive environmental contribution in honor of Earth Day on April 22nd, 2024. Our theme for this clean-up is "Planet vs Plastics," highlighting the importance of reducing plastic pollution in our environment.

[Date, Time, and Location] ⏰
The clean-up walk will start at 9:30 AM and will take place in Marsaxlokk around St. Peter's Pool. We estimate that it will last approximately 2.5 hours.

[Carpooling] 🚗
We encourage everyone who can to carpool to and from the location. Not only does this reduce our carbon footprint, but it also fosters team bonding.

[Required Materials] ♻️
If you can bring protective gloves and garbage bags for collecting litter. We will also bring along some, for those who don’t have (but please remember that we’re trying to reduce waste, hence we don’t need to buy what we already have and can contribute).

[Support from Local Council] 🚮
We're also seeking the support of the local council regarding the disposal of garbage afterwards and any other support they can offer, whether financial or in-kind. More info to come about this.

[Post-Clean-Up Social] 🥤
Finally, for those who feel like and have the time afterwards, we can gather for a drink together to celebrate our efforts and relax after a rewarding morning of cleaning up!
