What we’re about

www.walkmalvern.org.uk
Malvern Hills Footpath Society

Do you enjoy putting on your boots and getting out into the beautiful countryside of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire? If so, this is the group for you; friendly, like-minded walkers enjoying fresh air and company.
This long-established group (50+ years) offers short walks (4-6 miles) and long walks (7-12 miles) covering all kinds of terrain to suit different abilities. All the Walk Events will have the approximate mileage and what you might encounter during the walk and where to meet and park.
We do ask that you are reasonably fit, and that you pick a walk that you feel comfortable with. Advice can always be had from the leaders. A challenge is always fun, but build up to it!

All activities are at your own risk. And it is your responsibility to come appropriately prepared for the walk. We also expect courtesy to other members and leaders, and abuse won’t be tolerated.

We do not generally allow dogs on the walks. We are dog lovers but not everyone feels the same. However, if a Leader feels the walk is suitable for dogs and is happy, it will be clearly stated for that walk only.

Please come along and try us out. Fees are ONLY £5 pa just to cover admin costs.
Payable 60 days after joining and thereafter in February each year. This gives you plenty of time to come along and try us out before committing. We do hope you will become a regular member and maybe, in time, lead a walk. Why not take a partner or friend with you to recce a walk and bring them as a guest on the day?
Once a paid-up member you will be given a login to our website and have access to the members calendar and a library of downloadable walks.

If, after 60 days you decide not to join, we will contact you for feedback and see how things are going. If you are then removed from the group, please don’t be offended – come back when the time is right for you. There is always a place for a fellow walker.
Please go to the website: https://walkmalvern.org.uk  and follow instructions on how to join.
We look forward to seeing you on a walk.
