What we’re about
Want to get out and meet friendly people in the Malvern Hills area? Join us for social walks on the hills.
Our walks always end up at coffee shops and pubs. We want to keep fit, chat with friends, and discover great cake.
We walk at a steady pace and take breathers but you'll always find a few climbs. So, please be fit enough to cope with this. Our weekend walks tend to be around 4-5 miles long. Our evening walks are a little shorter (3+ miles).
We welcome all ages. Most people are somewhere between mid-forties and early sixties.
Please pay £2.50 per event (and pay via PayPal as you book). Volunteer-run, 100% goes towards the Meetup fee (around £200/year). Beyond that, we donate every penny to a local charity (currently Severn Angels Housing and Support).
Got ideas for events? Want to host one? Please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.
Do join us soon. You’ll be glad you did.
Things you should know:
You’re responsible for your own safety when you attend our events. We’re simply creating social opportunities for like-minded people in the area.
Please pay on booking. We don't want to waste our time chasing you – we’re volunteers - we've got day jobs too.
You're welcome to bring a non-member guest but remember to book two places and pay £2.50 for them as well.
If we cancel the walk, we'll refund you. Should you decide not to come along, we won't. But your £2.50 will be going to charity.
Please don't bring your dogs. We've got them too, but not everyone wants four legs running around. We tried 'dogs welcome' walks and had no take-up, so we stick to people for now.
Got questions about an event? Please get in touch before you book.

Things you need to know:
1. We’re very friendly. Come on your own and you’ll soon be chatting with others. While we have many regular walkers, most events include first-timers.
2. If you book an event then can’t go, please message us in “event chat”. Otherwise, we’ll all be waiting for you unnecessarily. We won’t refund your £2.50, but it will go to a worthy local charity.
2. We don't allow dogs on our walks. We have dogs ourselves, but not everyone’s keen. We tried a few “dogs welcome” walks and there was almost no take-up. So, for now, no dogs please.
3. The Malvern area is hilly, on and off the hills. You must decide whether you’re comfortable with the location of the event. If you’re looking to get fitter, we’ll support you, and we do stop for breaks when necessary. If you want more details about a specific event, please message Dan or Anna beforehand – we’re always happy to help.
4. We run this group voluntarily and informally. Just for fun. While we do our best to look after everyone, you’re responsible for your safety.
