What we’re about
Want to get out and meet friendly people in the Malvern Hills area? Join us for social walks on the hills.
Our walks always end up at coffee shops and pubs. We want to keep fit, chat with friends, and discover great cake.
We walk at a steady pace and take breathers but you'll always find a few climbs. So, please be fit enough to cope with this. Our weekend walks tend to be around 4-5 miles long. Our evening walks are a little shorter (3+ miles).
We welcome all ages. Most people are somewhere between mid-forties and early sixties.
Please pay £2.50 per event (and pay via PayPal as you book). Volunteer-run, 100% goes towards the Meetup fee (around £200/year). Beyond that, we donate every penny to a local charity (currently Severn Angels Housing and Support).
Got ideas for events? Want to host one? Please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.
Do join us soon. You’ll be glad you did.
Things you should know:
You’re responsible for your own safety when you attend our events. We’re simply creating social opportunities for like-minded people in the area.
Please pay on booking. We don't want to waste our time chasing you – we’re volunteers - we've got day jobs too.
You're welcome to bring a non-member guest but remember to book two places and pay £2.50 for them as well.
If we cancel the walk, we'll refund you. Should you decide not to come along, we won't. But your £2.50 will be going to charity.
Please don't bring your dogs. We've got them too, but not everyone wants four legs running around. We tried 'dogs welcome' walks and had no take-up, so we stick to people for now.
Got questions about an event? Please get in touch before you book.

See all- Malvern Hills END-TO-END walk (11.5 miles)WR14 4LT, Malvern£6.50
*If you want to join this walk you must have walked with us at least once before - there are plenty of walks to join before May 😊*
This is a FULL DAY walk. We start from Chase End and walk to End Hill - the entire length of the Malvern Hills. We'll also climb every peak (at least 17, depending on what you count), so expect several steep climbs.
The hills are officially 8.1 miles long. Given route twists and turns, we’ll walk a bit further than this (usually 11.5 miles).
You need a decent level of fitness to complete this full-day walk. We’ll progress at a good pace and have short breaks when necessary. If you’re unsure, please talk to us before booking.
Meeting at North Quarry Car Park at 9am prompt (£6 parking fee or find street parking), we'll take the necessary cars to Chase End (about 25 minutes' drive), leaving the rest at North Quarry.
From there, we'll walk back to North Quarry then collect the cars left at Chase End.
Bring a picnic and whatever you need for the day (waterproof, sun cream, drink, snacks). Sally's Place (cafe) is partway along, so we can grab provisions there as well (if the queue isn't too long). Toilets at British Camp and The Wyche.
Walking end-to-end takes logistical organisation, so please confirm your place by booking and paying BEFORE 10th April. We'll then plan car shares based on this number (and will ask some of you to volunteer your car).
Should you be reading this after 10th April and want to join, please message us to find out if there's space.
We're asking for a £6.50 contribution to attend this full-day walk. Please pay as you book. All proceeds go towards running the group on Meetup. Once recovered, we'll give everything to charity.
How to pay:
Please pay via PayPal using the following link: https://www.paypal.me/danwebb1. Select Friends and Family payment (it’s on the page where you choose your payment method), then we don’t get charged a commission. Please also put the event date as reference, then we know what you’re booking.
All proceeds go towards running the group on Meetup. Once recovered, we'll give everything to charity.
Things you need to know:
1. We’re very friendly. Come on your own and you’ll soon be chatting with others. Whilst we have many regular attendees, almost every event includes first-timers.
2. As a rule, we don’t allow dogs on our walks. Whilst we love them (and have some ourselves) not everyone does. From time to time we run ‘dogs welcome’ walks. They’re clearly marked as such. Please bring your four-legged friends on these specific walks.
3. The Malvern area is a hilly place, on and off the hills. Whilst we’re very supportive if you’re looking to get fitter (and we stop for breaks when necessary), you must decide if you’re comfortable with the location of the event. We do host some flatter walks, but even those can catch us out sometimes with an unexpected hill. If you want more detail about a specific event, please message Dan or Anna beforehand – we’re always happy to help.
4. We run this group voluntarily, just for fun. And we have a lot of it. Whilst we aim to look after everyone, you are responsible for your own safety.
