About us
Want to get out on the hills and meet friendly people in the Malvern area? Join us for a sociable walk.
Our walks typically finish at a coffee shop or pub (or we break part-way). We keep fit, chat with friends, and discover great cake (the odd lunch spot too)
All our hillwalks include several steep climbs and descents. While we walk at a steady pace and take breaks, please feel confident youâre fit enough to achieve this. Our weekend hillwalks tend to be around 5 miles long while our evening hillwalks are a little shorter (3+ miles). Occasionally, we put on an all-day walk too.
We welcome all ages. Most people are somewhere between mid-forties and early sixties, but we have regulars either side of this.
Please pay £2.50 per event (and pay via PayPal as you book). 100% goes towards the Meetup fee (around £400/year). Beyond that, we donate every penny to a nominated local charity.
Do join us soon. Youâll be glad you did.
Our terms and conditions
1.      Please ensure youâre fit enough to complete a walk that includes several steep climbs. While weâre supportive of those getting fitter, if youâre persistently slow, we may suggest you join an easier walking group. Itâs not personal, and this may be a better option for you too.
2.      Youâre responsible for your own safety when joining our walks. Weâll do our best to look after you though.
3.      Please pay the walk fee as you book. We reserve the right to move non-payers to the wait list, which could mean you miss out if someone else jumps in and pays before you do.
4.      Payment is only by PayPal.
5.      If we cancel the walk, weâll refund you. If you donât turn up, we wonât. But your payment will go to charity.
6.      We generally donât accept dogs on our walks.

Malvern Hills END-TO-END walk (11.5 miles)
WR14 4LT, North Malvern Road, Malvern, GB*If you want to join this walk you must have walked with us at least once before - there are plenty of walks to join before May đ*
This is a FULL DAY walk. We start from Chase End and walk to End Hill - the entire length of the Malvern Hills. We'll also climb every peak (at least 17, depending on what you count), so expect several steep climbs.
The hills are officially 8.1 miles long. Given route twists and turns, weâll walk a bit further than this (usually 11.5 miles).
You need a decent level of fitness to complete this full-day walk. Weâll progress at a good pace and have short breaks when necessary. If youâre unsure, please talk to us before booking.
Meeting at North Quarry Car Park at 9am prompt (ÂŁ6 parking fee or find street parking), we'll take the necessary cars to Chase End (about 25 minutes' drive), leaving the rest at North Quarry.
From there, we'll walk back to North Quarry then collect the cars left at Chase End.
Bring a picnic and whatever you need for the day (waterproof, sun cream, drink, snacks). Sally's Place (cafe) is partway along, so we can grab provisions there as well (if the queue isn't too long). Toilets at British Camp and The Wyche.
Walking end-to-end takes logistical organisation, so please confirm your place by booking and paying BEFORE 17th April. We'll then plan car shares based on this number (and will ask some of you to volunteer your car).
Should you be reading this after 17th April and want to join, please message us to find out if there's space.
We're asking for a ÂŁ6.50 contribution to attend this full-day walk. Please pay as you book. All proceeds go towards running the group on Meetup. Once recovered, we'll give everything to charity.
How to pay:
Please pay via PayPal using the following link: https://www.paypal.me/danwebb1. Select Friends and Family payment (itâs on the page where you choose your payment method), then we donât get charged a commission. Please also put the event date as reference, then we know what youâre booking.
All proceeds go towards running the group on Meetup. Once recovered, we'll give everything to charity.
Things you need to know:
1. Weâre very friendly. Come on your own and youâll soon be chatting with others. And while we have many regular attendees, almost every walk includes first-timers too. We welcome single people, those whose partners donât wish to walk, and couples.
2. Please arrive ahead of the start time. We typically wait for five minutes, but beyond that, weâll start the walk.
3. Please pay when you book. We reserve the right to move you to the waiting list if you havenât paid. And this may mean you miss out on your place if someone jumps in ahead of you.
4. As a rule, we donât allow dogs on our walks. Itâs just easier.
5. The Malvern Hills are⌠hilly. EVERY walk will include several steep climbs and descents, so you must have sufficient fitness to achieve this level of walking at a steady pace. While weâre not super-fast, and do stop for breaks, itâs frustrating for you and others if we keep having to wait for you. If you want more detail about a specific walk, please message us beforehand as weâre always happy to help.
6. We run this group voluntarily, just for fun. And we have a lot of it. While we aim to look after everyone, you are responsible for your own safety when walking with us.
