International Cultural Festival

Join us for an evening of global rhythm and celebration as Mamadou performs live at the International Cultural Festival in Newburyport. Led by Senegalese rhythm-guitarist and master drummer Mamadou Diop, this award-winning ensemble blends infectious West African grooves with influences from highlife, rumba, reggae, salsa, and beyond. We take the stage at 7:30 PM.

The International Cultural Festival—organized by students in the Global Citizenship Program at Newburyport High School—brings together music, storytelling, cultural artisans, and community organizations to celebrate cultures from around the world. The event is free and open to the public, welcoming hundreds of students, families, and community members each year.
