Let’s enjoy an unforgettable hike to one of the most iconic and magical places on the Costa Brava! From Palau-Saverdera, we’ll walk through beautiful Mediterranean landscapes, along ancient paths, and surrounded by breathtaking views over the coast 🌿🌊

Our route will take us first to the ruins of the old castle, a spectacular spot with dramatic scenery and a truly special atmosphere ⛰️☀️ Then we’ll continue to the impressive Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, a stunning medieval treasure perched high above the sea, full of history, legend, and unforgettable panoramic views ✨🏰

And yes — we will go inside the monastery to discover this extraordinary place from within. A perfect hike to combine nature, history, and some of the best views in the region 💫

🏞This Sunday there is an unusual place waiting for us! We are going to the Monastery Sant Miguel del Fai, which is located on the very edge of the cliff! But the most important thing is what a view opens behind the Monastery - the huge waterfall, which impresses with its size! Even the photos are breathtaking!

We are going through a mountain tunnel under the waterfall and will do a wonderful track with 14 km we will pass several smaller waterfalls, will make our way under a huge rock hanging over our heads and have a picnic in the middle of the day near a small lake in a riverbed.

It is a wonderful opportunity to spend a weekend in a beautiful place and as always with a good company!

🏞We will visit the Monastery.

🌳📅How will be our Day?

👋Meeting point: at 8:00 a.m. (Fabra y Puig bus station.)
🚌8:13we leave from Barcelona with local bus (please be puntual)
📍 inside of the station platform 13( HERE)
🚶🥪 09.05 arriving to our destination ,having a breakfast before start at the cafe (30 min) ☕
🚶09:45 We start our hike.
🥪 13:00 Lunch time on the hiking route.
🏰14:00 We enter to Monastery.
🔙 18:00 Going to the bus
· 19:00 maximum we will arrive to Barcelona.

🏰 Join us on this beautiful hike from Farena to Capafonts, starting in a lovely mountain village and crossing wild forests, rocky cliffs, and stunning landscapes along the way. As we’re going by bus, we can do a linear route, making the experience even more exciting and varied — with spectacular views and even the chance to swim during the hike 🏊🌿

🏰 To finish the day, we’ll enjoy about 2 hours at the Medieval Festival in Montblanc, a magical celebration full of history, atmosphere, and charm. The perfect combination of hiking, culture, and fun!

🌄🚴 Have you heard of the famous Vía Verde? Previously, it was a railway, but then the rails were removed and now you can ride a bicycle along the former railway.

🚴We will drive through old train stations, tunnels and huge walls covered with moss. But on the first day we will make a wonderful hike about 16 kilometers, previously leaving everything at the camping ,*

🪵🔥We will sit in a cozy company in the evening and spend the night in tents and the next day we will go on bicycles from Olot to Girona!

🔎 Short description of two days

We will take a regular bus to the at Les Preses where our hike begins.( our camping is 5 min walking from the bus station.) From there we will hike 16 kilometres. At the campsite, we will have a camping dinner and tents. The campsite has toilets, showers and all facilities. The next day we will have breakfast and get our bicycles.
The route to Girona will be 55 kilometers, but since we will be going down all the time, it will not be difficult. In Girona we return our bicycles and return to Barcelona by train.
