🏔️ AIGÜESTORTES: 3-DAY HIKING, REFUGE & RAFTING ADVENTURE

Aigüestortes is Catalonia’s only national park and one of the most beautiful places in the Pyrenees. Alpine lakes, ancient forests and peaks rising to almost 3,000 metres make it a place everyone should visit at least once! 🌲
We will spend a night at the famous Refugi d’Amitges, climb an optional mountain summit and finish the trip with rafting on a wild Pyrenean river.
One of our biggest adventures of the summer! ☀️

🥾 DAY 1 — ESPOT, SANT MAURICI & REFUGI D’AMITGES
We begin in the mountain village of Espot. Our heaviest belongings will be transported by jeep, so we can hike with light backpacks.
The trail takes us through an impressive ancient forest before reaching Lake Sant Maurici — one of the most beautiful lakes in the Pyrenees. 🏞️
After a break, we collect our backpacks and continue past another alpine lake towards Refugi d’Amitges.
In the evening, we enjoy a hearty mountain dinner and spend the night surrounded by lakes and peaks.

⛰️ DAY 2 — TUC DE RATERA & WATERFALLS
After breakfast, we continue higher into the national park.
Those who wish can climb Tuc de Ratera, at 2,861 metres, and enjoy incredible panoramic views over the mountains and lakes.
The summit is optional. Anyone who prefers a more relaxed day can skip the climb and simply enjoy the mountain scenery.
We then descend along a different trail, passing waterfalls, viewpoints and beautiful mountain lakes. 💧
Later, we return towards Espot and spend the night in a cosy guesthouse. After two days in the mountains, a warm shower and comfortable bed will feel amazing!

🚣 DAY 3 — RAFTING
On the final day, we exchange hiking boots for wetsuits and helmets!
Professional instructors will guide us through the river’s rapids and winding sections. We will divide into teams, with options for a more exciting or slightly calmer experience.
After rafting, we enjoy a final lunch together, share our favourite moments and begin the journey back to Barcelona.

ROUTE INFORMATION 👇

⛰️ Linear route from Garraf (30 minutes by train from Barcelona 🚆) hiking to Sitges along the coast 🌊
🍹 At the end of the route, we will seat at chiringuito to have a drink and chat about our experiences of the day.
⭐ Ideal plan for Saturday,for a quiet plan, breathing sea air and meeting new people 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

MEETING POINT

TRANSPORT
🚆We will all take the train together at Sants Station
➡️ One way - From Sants Station to Garraf > 09:45- 10:17
⬅️Return - From Sitges to Sants Station .There is a train every half an hour.Around 16:30 we will be in Sitges.

🎫 Everyone will get there own round trip ticket.Price of the ticket: 4,60 one way.

⛰️ The route is 12 km,it is around 4 hours in total walking
💪difficulty : middle-easy level 🐘 🐘🐘 (only because it's summer)
⬆️elevation: 400 m (there will be two little steep climbs at the beginning and in the middle)

🌼We invite you to enjoy a wonderful hike and amazing Calas on our way!
This day we will hike in amazing Costa Brava !In the evening we will enjoy the atmosphere of an ancient city which will not leave you without emotions!

🏞It is a very beautiful route leaving from the town of Begur and passing by panoramic Castle of Begur (s.XI) , Riera d'Aiguafreda to Cala Sa Tuna,

😍In the evening we will enjoy Fiesta de los indianos , with vibrant celebration rooted in the town's historical ties to Cuba. Begur's "Indianos" festival pays homage to the 19th-century locals who emigrated to the Americas, particularly Cuba, and later returned with newfound wealth and cultural influences. The event transforms Begur into a lively scene reminiscent of its colonial past.

🏰Participants often dress up in white linen suits and dresses, and the streets are filled with Cuban music, dance, and traditional food. Markets, parades, and historical reenactments enrich the festival, offering visitors a colorful and engaging glimpse into Begur’s unique cultural heritage.

Begur: Castell, Riera d'Aiguafreda, Paths of Ronda, the Toasters and Coves of SaTuna, Aiguafreda, SaRiera, Moreta and Red Island

It is a great adventure, offering a perfect blend of scenic beauty and historical exploration.

🏖️🌊We will start from the beach and will pedal through this **charming town,**🏰 you'll be captivated by its picturesque canals and beautiful landscapes. We will pass through Aiguamolls de l'Empordàand ,natural reservoir,and a historic center ,where we will see from outside stunning Castell de Empuries. This magnificent fortress, perched atop a hill, provides a fascinating glimpse into the region's rich history and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

🍉💦In the evening we will enjoy the beach and sit in a nice summer chiringuito:)
