WHAT THIS HIKE IS ABOUT 🌄
❄️Let's spend winter weekend together! What could be better than going to the mountains that are covered in snow?:)
The plan is to sleep over at Comes de Rubio shelter(by the way, it's Mamut hiking favorite) and do snowshoeing for two days!
🏠 The Mountain Shelter where we will spend the night ,is a real treasure! It is the highest above the others in Pyrenees,1980 m. built up during the war, it kept the objects of that times inside of the shelter, we can all see them inside. The guardian,who lives there Paco, has been leaving there already for over 26 years!
❄️On that 2 days trip we will have an opportunity to discover the glacier of the Comes de Rubió, and will make a circular route and ascend to the Torreta de l'Orri (2,438m)-the highest point of the summit. It has a 360 degree view on all the mountains!
It will be 10 km snowshoes hike. Challenging and full of beautiful views!
❄️We will be descending through the wild forest -a real winter ferry tail!

❄️ DAY ONE
🚗08.15 We are meeting in the centre (in what’s up group will be the address)
☕12.00 We have our coffee or lunch and start walking with snowshoes to the Shelter ( 7 km)
🍔By 19 we will reach our Mountain shelter and 19:30 we will have our nice Dinner and if we have time we can practise orientation or a first aid.(hiking games ,and singing songs: )
❄️ DAY TWO
☕8:00 A.M. Breakfast .
🚶9.00 A.M.leaving the Shelter (leaving backpacks at the shelter)
❄️10.00 starting snowshoes hike
☕16.30 Reaching the shelter,hot tea,coffee time
🚗18.00 getting back to our cars
⛄ HIKING DETAILS
- Total Distance: 15 km
- Difficulty level:moderate🐘🐘🐘
- Estimated Completion Time: 4 hours day one,6 hours day two
- Elevation gain: 600 m.
💰Price : 195 Euros
WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDES
• One night at the shelter
• dinner

• Lunch which will be given to you with you for a hike

What it does not include:
Aprox 15 euros to a driver for gasoline
DRIVERS: If you have a car and you will be driving, you will have 40 euros discount
👘 WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
🥾• trekking shoes ,
💧• water,
🥪• food for first day of picnic (sandwiches, fruits and others),
👕• warm jacket, gaiters(if you have those),hat, gloves
🕶️• sun cream and sunglasses
IMPORTANT NOTE ❗
Each participant is responsible for evaluating their physical level is adequate for the activity.
As well as wearing appropriate clothes for the hike. In no case, the person who proposes the activity can be considered responsible for possible damages derived from the participation in it.
