Buzzard Hill Moderate Hike in Bluemont, VA

Join me and my Havanese dog for this last minute scheduled out-and-back hike that’s about 4 miles with 900 feet elevation gain. We’ll hike about 2 mph and take a break at the waterfall and the summit with the seasonal view.

It’s an hour drive, but if you live in/near Bristow and want to ride with us, I can fit two more…just let me know!

PARKING: The parking lot is just below the Appalachian Trail crossing off Morgan Mill Rd (a bumpy gravel road). Download maps before leaving home as cell service could be unreliable. GPS: 39.07299, -77.91292
AGENDA: We’ll take the AT to the Buzzard Hill summit, stopping at a small waterfall along the way. There are several stream crossings, which should be fairly easy rock hops.
