Areti Iles, who'll take us on a whistle-stop journey through the AI legislation YOU need to know. No legalese, no scaremongering, just the bits that matter.
Alice Manley, a local business owner who used AI to completely rebuild and rebrand her aesthetics company website, with no prior tech experience whatsoever. If you've ever wondered whether this stuff is genuinely usable by non-techies, come and find out.
A panel of industry experts (TBD) who'll get stuck into AI in the modern workplace: the good, the bad and the overhyped. Bring your questions.
There'll be pizza and drinks between sessions, plus plenty of time to natter with people wrestling with the same things you are. Whether you're already deep in the weeds with AI or just curious what all the fuss is about, you'll be in good company.
Who we are
Manchester AI Collective started with a simple idea: AI shouldn't feel like a closed room.
Our mark is a honeycomb holding three connected nodes, a nod to Manchester's worker bee and to the people who make up this community. Three different founders. Three different starting points. All connected, all building the same thing.
That's what we're here to do: give anyone curious about AI, whatever their background, experience or starting point, a place to learn, ask questions without judgement, and connect with people figuring it out alongside them. No gatekeeping, no jargon required to walk in the door.
We run regular meetups, beginner-friendly sessions and community events across Manchester, built and led by three women who wanted the AI conversation to include more voices, not fewer.
