Sunday Stroll around Marple

Details
New joiners welcome!
Join us for April's Sunday Stroll along the canal and the River Goyt in Marple. We'll look out for mandarin ducklings, cherry blossom and wild garlic. These walks are designed to be gentle and accessible monthly outings so come along; no specific gear needed except a coat if it looks like rain.
We expect to be back at the station by roughly 1pm, so we won't have a mid-walk lunch stop. However we recommend bringing packed lunch to eat on a bench by the river before getting the train home (or visiting the Norfolk Arms which also serves food).
Many of our members are not on Meetup, so the RSVP list will be smaller than the total number of attendees. Typically around 30 people join each walk, so there's plenty of people to chat with.

FAQs:
Can I drive to the walk start? You are more than welcome to meet us at Marple Train Station. Just make sure to arrive before the train.
What if I can't find the group at Piccadilly? If you can't spot us, board the train and meet us at the destination station instead. Once the train has arrived, we'll wait a few minutes to gather the group and have a short introduction.
Can I bring a dog? Dogs are welcome on a short lead, see https://www.madwalkers.org.uk/about-us/policies/dogs-on-walks-policy/ for details.
