Sunday stroll around Drinkwater Park

A leisurely, circular walk on a - hopefully sunny - Sunday afternoon, taking in a few of the parks and forests around Prestwich.

These walks are designed to be suitable for people with no walking experience or specialised clothing. Also anyone who just fancies an easier walk for a change, all are welcome.

FAQs:

What to wear? Walking boots are recommended as paths may be muddy.

Can I bring a dog? Dogs are welcome on a short lead, see https://www.madwalkers.org.uk/about-us/policies/dogs-on-walks-policy/ for details.

Can I drive to the walk start? You’re more than welcome to meet us at Pretwich — just make sure to arrive before 2pm.

Many of our members are not on Meetup, so the RSVP list will be smaller than the total number of attendees. Typically around 30 people join each walk, so there's plenty of people to chat with.

Itinerary:
13:25 - Meet at Manchester Victoria tram stop
13:35 - Take the first tram departing for Prestwich
14:00 - Walk starts at Prestwich
16:30 (approx) - Walk end and optional post-walk drinks
