Ghost Train and Magic Pubs in Stalyvegas

There is a once a week direct train service from Stockport to Stalybridge, known as the "Ghost Train" or "Parliamentary Train". This is to keep a part of the track open which is otherwise only used for goods trains. We may get the train to ourselves unless there are any other ghost fanatics on board! I plan to go on this train to "StalyVagas" to tick off a few Mild Magic pubs. No direct return train so, returning via Manchester. This is a repeat of an event I did last year.
9:04 from Stockport station platform 1 (please check, it may change) arriving 9:28.
You are welcome to join us at Stalybridge if you don't fancy the ghost train or if the start is too early.
Ticket: You can't get a return ticket because we will NEVER return - or at least not via the same route! So depending on how you are getting to the start point it may be better getting a Greater Manchester Rail Rover for £8.60 or System One 1 day AnyBus & Train ticket for £9.40.

The famous Station Buffet Bar
Q Inn or Whitehouse
Bridge Beers
All interspersed with some pottering round lovely Stalybridge or along the canal depending on how we feel and the weather.
