This month we'll be examining the thorny, and taboo, topic of anti-Semitism. Jew hatred is sometimes referred to as the oldest prejudice.
Jews have been persecuted for many centuries and either killed or ejected from many countries. Including the ancient kingdom of Judea.
However, recently anti-Semitism has exploded, especially on social media. Both from the left and the right. Is this justified by the Israel/Gaza war?
Or is there a shadowy agenda at play?
We'll be exploring the history of ant-Semitism and some of the "conspiracy theories" that fuel it.
Since Oct 7th 2023, there have been weekly pro-Palestinian marches (some call them hate marches) through London where there were anti-Semitic slogans chanted and written on signs.
In October 2025 a Jewish MP was disinvited by a school in Bristol after a Palestine pressure group threatened to protest.
At Glastonbury Bob Vylan led a chant of "death to the IDF" and thousands in the crowd joined in.
Recently there was an antisemitic terrorist attack in Manchester at the Heaton Park synagogue resulting in 3 deaths.
Last year there were two terrorist incidents that killed Jews in Washington DC and Colorado.
Can we expect more such terrorist attacks?
Some of the questions we'll explore:
Are Jews/Israel a convenient scapegoat for people to blame for the world's problems?
Was Jeffrey Epstein a Mossad asset?
Why is Holocaust denial is growing?
Is the ancient enmity between Judaism and Islam a driver of anti-Semitism?
Is there anything in the Talmud or the Torah that inspires anti-Semitism?
Is anti-Semitism purely a form of envy due to Jews being successful and in positions of influence?
Is Trump is Netanyahu's puppet or lapdog?
Is there a substantial difference between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism?
I want to hear opinions from all sides. All are welcome. Whether you are Jewish, a philo-semite, an antisemite or on the fence. No-one will be demonised for their opinions at this meeting as long as they are in good faith.
However, given the sensitivity of this issue, I would ask you to refrain from any abuse or name calling.
At this group we approach all subjects, including this one, with the goal of getting closer to the truth, not to score points or to win the argument by defeating your opponent.
My personal goal for the meeting is give us all an opportunity to explore this subject calmly and get to the facts beyond any tribal positions.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to explore this topic in a safe environment.
