What we’re about
This group is for East Africans (18+) in Manchester who want to meet new people, make friends, and just have a good time. Whether you’re from Eritrea, Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, or anywhere in the region, this is a space to connect, have fun, and build a community.
We’ll be organising all kinds of activities, game nights, movie nights, sports, dinners, and casual hangouts. So there’s always something to look forward to!
The reason this group exists is simple: making friends as an adult is hard. After university, a lot of us get caught up in work and routine, and suddenly, meeting new people isn’t as easy as it used to be. This is a chance to change that, to find like-minded people, grow your social circle, and just enjoy good company.
It’s open to everyone in the East African community, including Muslim East Africans, and the goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable space where we can all feel at home.
