Scientific and Technical French for Erasmus Students

This course aims to equip Erasmus students with the linguistic and communicative skills required to function effectively in scientific and technical academic environments in French.
It focuses on the specific language used in lectures, laboratories, research contexts, and professional academic communication.
Through the use of authentic scientific and technical materials (research articles, laboratory protocols, university lectures, TED talks and general correspondence), students develop their ability to understand, produce, and interact in formal academic French.
The course adopts an action-oriented and discipline-specific approach, allowing students to apply language skills directly to their field of study.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Understand scientific and technical texts and lectures in French
- Use specialised scientific vocabulary relevant to their academic discipline
