Directed by Samuel Theis - 2021, 93 min. (Cert. TBC, recommended 15+).

"Johnny a dix ans. Mais à son âge, il ne s'intéresse qu'aux histoires des adultes. Dans sa cité HLM en Lorraine, il observe avec curiosité la vie sentimentale agitée de sa jeune mère. Cette année, il intègre la classe de Monsieur Adamski, un jeune titulaire qui croit en lui et avec lequel il pousse la porte d'un nouveau monde."

La projection aura lieu sur un grand écran à la Manchester Central Library. Le film est en français avec des sous-titres anglais et sera présenté par un membre de l'AFM, qui animera également la discussion après la projection.

L'allocation des places se fait selon la logique du "premier arrivé premier servi" le jour de la projection.

ABOUT THE FILM

"Ten-year-old Johnny stands out from his family and his tough neighbourhood in Eastern France. He's sensitive, intelligent and interested in all kinds of things way beyond his years. With curiosity, he observes the ups and downs of his young single mother's turbulent love life. Things change when a new teacher, fresh from the big city, takes over Johnny's class. Mr. Adamski believes in Johnny and wants to open a new world to him. The sophisticated young teacher also intrigues the boy."

The screening will take place on a screen at Manchester Central Library. Film in French with English subtitles.

Entry is on a first come, first served basis on the day of screening.
