When you think about the Lake District, this is the postcard picture of the Langdale Pikes. Starting in the Great Langdale Valley at New Dungeon Ghyll we will head up to Stickle Tarn, a stunning tarn nestled among the mountains. Once there we will make our way around and up to Pavey Ark, Pike of Stickle, and Harrison Stickle. Overlooking the valley, we will head back down to Stickle Tarn following the rushing beck.

It takes approximately 4 - 5 hours to follow this route.

This event is in total 9.4 km and a well-rewarded day out! Once at the start of the hike, you will be led by trained mountain leaders all through the route.

Instructions

8.00am - Pick-up - we will be stood waiting outside the National Express coach station on Chorlton Street, Manchester. Roughly 5 min walk from Piccadilly.

9.15am - Service stop for refreshments.

9.20am - Lancaster Park and Ride Pick-up.

10.30am - We arrive at Langdale car park to begin our walk.

4pm - Depart from car park.

5.25pm - Drop off at Lancaster Park and Ride.

5.30pm - Service stop for refreshments.

7pm - Drop-off - Arrive back at Chorlton Street, Manchester for departure. With some great memories!
