Japan Day 2024 – Manchester [Free Entry!

Hi everyone,

I know this is a bit last minute, but I’ve decided to attend Japan Day 2024 in Manchester tomorrow! I’ll be arriving at 11 am and will stay for a couple of hours. If anyone is going solo or in a small group and would like to meet up with others who share an interest in Japanese culture, feel free to join me at the start of the event.

We can meet, get acquainted, and then explore the event in whatever way you prefer—either individually or in small groups. I’m personally interested in the crafty activities and perhaps some food stalls, but I don’t have plans to stick together as a large group. Anyone with similar interests is welcome to join me, but there’s no pressure to follow along. Let’s at least make sure no one feels alone at the event!

Event details:
Japan Day 2024 runs from 11 am to 5 pm, with live performances, market stalls, Japanese food and drink, Taiko drumming, Kimono dressing, Enka singing, a cosplay competition, and much more. It’s held at Sugden Sports Centre and entry is free!
