From BIGBANG to BTS, Taeyang to Taemin, Girls Generation (GG days!) to Twice, you will find two decades of K-pop hysteria embraced by the first Manchester based K-pop Fans Meetup!
As someone who developed a familiarity with K-pop as a teen in the 2000's and then delved back into the present day of contemporary K-pop, I want to explore and discover this fascinating musical sub-genre within an even more mesmerising pop culture, to encompass K-drama and Korean food and beyond.
I am always learning something new about this expansive sub-genre of music and the Korean culture, so if anyone has any social ideas or event suggestions for the group please let a committee member know and we can hopefully accommodate!

Get moving with a K-Pop dance workshop and showcase featuring talented teams from across the UK. Test your knowledge in the group K-Pop Quiz where you can make friends, join Random Play Dance sessions, and end the day with a high-energy K-Pop Party soundtracked by DJ Emkay from Seoul.

Meeting place TBC (most likely K-pop related cafe/restaurant/shop) at 4pm before we head off to the gig!
I have a seated ticket so will be available prior to the gig only, and will be in London for most of the day if people want to meet up earlier.

"TWICE (트와이스) is a 9-member South Korean girl group under JYP Entertainment. The group consists of Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. The group was formed through the survival show SIXTEEN and debuted on October 20, 2015, with their first mini album, The Story Begins.
Group Name Meaning: As stated by J. Y. Park, “The group will touch people’s hearts twice, once through the ears, and once again through the eyes.”

Fandom Name Meaning: When the name was revealed in an Instagram post, it was described in the caption, “Once then TWICE. They seem to go together. If you love us even once, we’ll repay you with TWICE our love. It’s difficult to connect with people, and getting people to love is the most difficult of all. We’ll work hard so that you can look at us once, and fall in love with us TWICE.”
