Poetry Discussion

Hi,

These meetups are for poetry reading and discussion. Discussions typically are around the meaning of the poem, what it means to you or how it is interpreted by the listeners, and not so much on how the poem was constructed.

If you are looking for comments on construction, or are having difficultly you can certainly ask. But for the most part, we assume the poem is finished, and we are here to enjoy it as such.

If you don't have anything you are personally working on, or are not ready to share yet, please bring a favorite poem to share.

Also, if you could bring some extra copies to hand-out that would great as well, check to see how many people are attending for a rough estimate. Based on past meetings, 6 copies should be enough,
