Exploring Universal Basic Income’s Potential to Improve Mental Health’ is a series of six half-day online workshops, funded by the Scottish Universities Insight Initiative as part of its series on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. In order to investigate the relationship between financial insecurity and mental health, our workshops present the views of people working in mental health, people involved in designing and participating in Universal Basic Income pilots, students and people with lived experience of mental health problems. Our goal is to inform Universal Basic Income pilots planned for Scotland and elsewhere about the need to assess mental health outcomes. During this workshop, the participants from our storytelling workshops will share their experiences with people working in mental health, UBI advocates, researchers, policy makers and politicians.

This is not a Ragged University event but it is an event which people might have an interest in. As such I cannot assist with the organisation beyond the promotion. This has arisen through the research which I involved with on the Universal Basic Income and psychological wellbeing work. Please do support it if you can by promoting it out through your networks.
