Sunday Higher Intermediate Session Player Criteria:

We strongly encourage all new members to attend one of the social Saturday/Sunday badminton sessions before attending an intermediate session to avoid the risk of potentially being turned away on the day.

To participate in the Sunday Intermediate sessions, players must meet all the following criteria:

Beginner:
• New to badminton, learning basic skills and rules.
Mid-Beginner:
• Familiar with basic rules and skills.
• Able to play simple points.
High Beginner:
• Developing proper technique.
• Capable of executing smashes, drops, and basic defensive shots.
Low Intermediate:
• Able to consistently clear to the baseline (forehand and backhand).
• Performs drops, smashes, and defensive shots with regularity.
• Still improving footwork and positioning.
High Intermediate:
• Consistently retrieves and returns a variety of shots (drops, smashes, clears).
• Moves efficiently across the court using proper footwork.
• Plays competitively with strategy and consistency.

Important Notice:
By signing up for this session, you confirm that you meet the above required criteria. If we find that a significant skill disparity is affecting the overall experience, we may ask you to leave the session. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us create a balanced and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Come and play higher intermediate and above level badminton session in Manchester! It's all about having a blast on the court, mixing fun and a bit of healthy competition. The coach/organiser arranges games, sometimes players are grouped depending on their strength! 🏸

Time - 5pm till 7pm
Cost - £6.29 per person (Booking Via Sportas).
RSVP closes at 5pm

VENUE DETAILS
Venue: Oasis Academy Media City UK, King William St, Salford M50 3UQ
Cars: Plenty of parking is available within the school car park.

Facilities - There are toilets and changing rooms (no showers). Please try to bring your own refreshments!

🏸 We have a few spare rackets if needed, please try to reach out to the coach/organiser beforehand to request a racket. We play doubles for the whole time and keep rotating courts so everyone plays each other.

Cancellation Policy
This game has a 24 hour cancellation policy and if cancelled in time you will be eligible for a 100% refund.

Dress Code, Well-Being, Conduct, and Equal Opportunity

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for indoor sports. Keep jewellery to a minimum—avoid large earrings, chains, or bracelets for safety.

Your wellbeing is our utmost priority. If you have any health concerns, consult your doctor before participating. Ensure you warm up and cool down with stretches to minimize the risk of injuries. Please note, you play at your own risk, and we are not liable for any injuries sustained.

We welcome players of all backgrounds and treat everyone equally with respect. This is also expected from our participants. If you fail to do this, you may be asked to leave the session, or even banned from the group and attending future sessions.
