A slow wander, gentle chat, and a couple of relaxed sketch stops in one of Manchester’s loveliest green spaces. No experience needed—if you can hold a pencil, you’re in. Come solo or with a mate; it’s a friendly, low-pressure way to meet people and make something.

Meeting point
Stenner Lane entrance (near the tennis courts/car park). Look for Matt with a sketchbook.

What we’ll do
We’ll stroll the gardens and pause for short, informal sketch sessions. Expect simple prompts and encouragement rather than a formal class. If folks fancy it, there’s an optional brew afterwards nearby.

Bring
Sketchbook or paper, pencil/pen (watercolours welcome), comfy shoes, layers, and water.

Good to know

All levels welcome. Truly beginner-friendly.

Accessibility. Mostly flat paths; some gravel/steps—tell Matt if you’d prefer paved routes and we’ll adapt.

Weather plan. Light drizzle = we’ll shelter and sketch; heavy rain = café-based drawing instead (we’ll post an update in the morning).

Cost. Free to join; buy your own drinks/snacks after.
