Women in Tech [Unfiltered] Sports Tech

Details

We are super excited to announce the next event in the MTF Women in Tech [Unfiltered] series - Women in Tech [Sports Tech]!

In partnership with TeamViewer, proud partners of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and Manchester United, we will be talking about all things sports tech! From athlete performance and sport analytics to fan engagement and stadium/venue technology, we’ll be hearing from four inspiring women working in Sports Tech and their roles within the industry.

Why Woman in Tech [Unfiltered] Sports Tech?
Manchester Tech Festival is delighted to be supporting TeamViewers latest campaign SheSportTech.

‘TeamViewer is committed to bringing more women into technology. With our sports partners, Manchester United and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, we have launched SheSportTech. This initiative encourages more women to consider a career in sports technology by shining a light on inspiring women who have built careers in this industry. SheSportTech offers women inspiration, support, and experiences to get them closer to their dream roles in sports tech.
On SheSportTech.com you will be able to read stories from inspiring women working in the industry. For those who want to take a step further, there is the opportunity to apply for the SheSportTech Pathway. Applicants selected to participate in the SheSportTech Pathway will be paired with one of the featured role models. The role models will provide support, guidance, and advice based on their experiences. To further develop their skills, the participants can also access a grant to support pursuing a relevant training course or certification in Sport Tech.
TeamViewer and SheSportTech: Empowering women to discover the opportunities in sports technology’.

Digital & Social Inclusion Programme
At MTF we believe that everyone across Greater Manchester should be able to access a career in tech without barriers. That’s why, as part of our digital and social inclusion programme, we collect food bank donations at our events. We then work with Manchester City Council and our charity partners who distribute the donations to those who need them most.

We appreciate times are hard for everyone, but if you can, we politely ask you to bring a donation for our food bank partners. We are asking for baby food, nappies, infant formula, hygiene wipes, tampons, sanitary pads, halal food and socks. If your religion prevents you from touching or purchasing any of the previous items you are welcome to bring packaged bars of soap.

Find out more about our Digital & Social Inclusion Programme here.

Food and Drinks
Food & Drink will be provided during the evening and a selection of soft drinks will also be available. Please email any dietary requirements ahead of the event to amy@manchestertechfestival.co.uk
