ONLINE Manchester TED Talk Discussion Group Group - 14 April

Our theme of our online meet-up on the evening of Tuesday 14 April will be Joy.

Please note you'll be asked to make a charitable donation in return for your ticket.

100% of your donation will be passed onto a charitable organisation that support UK food banks called the Trussel Trust.

The idea behind our theme is that in learning more about how to create moments of joy, we'll be better at handling the stresses and uncertainties of the current situation.

We'll be exploring questions such as:

• Why do some things seem to create such universal joy?
• How is joy different from happiness?
• Why does much of our built environment seem to suck the joy out of life?

The event will be held using the Videoconferencing Platform called Zoom.

It is free to download and ideal for our purposes.

What will be happening?

We'll be watching an insightful TED video on this subject from the 2018 conference.

After watching the talk, we'll use a fantastic feature on the Zoom to break into small groups to discuss the talk.

It’s going to be a fun, educational, action-packed hour and a bit!
