From Designs to Umbraco (and Everything In Between)

A refreshingly honest journey through AI-assisted development — going from designs to a fully CMS-managed Umbraco experience using Claude Code and context engineering.

This session starts in familiar territory: experimenting, prompting, and hoping for the best. But it quickly evolves into something far more structured — a real workflow that delivers consistent results. Along the way, we’ll explore how AI can move from being a novelty to becoming a genuinely useful development partner.

What you'll see

Through real recordings and live demonstrations, we’ll cover:

  • Building Umbraco document types, compositions, and content using Claude Code
  • Practical context engineering techniques — including planning, managing memory, and knowing when to guide the AI more firmly
  • Working with MCP servers and sub-agents (when they cooperate…)
  • Creating custom commands and reusable skills that turn hours of work into minutes

The Real Talk

This isn’t a polished highlight reel. Expect to see things go wrong:

  • AI getting creatively off-track
  • Prompts that don’t land as expected
  • The classic “it works on my machine” moment

That’s where the real learning happens.

Who is this for

Developers who are curious about — or already experimenting with — AI-assisted workflows and want to move beyond trial-and-error into something more repeatable and effective.
If you’re ready to embrace the chaos (and the payoff), this session is for you.
