Meet Point: At West Didsbury Metrolink Stop.
Transport to Walk Start: Metrolink to the West Didsbury stop (on East Didsbury Line), every 15 minutes.
The 43,143 and 41 buses run regularly from Piccadilly Gardens and Oxford Street/Road. You get off at the Central Road stop on Palatine Road.
If you are coming from Stockport or Urmston/Stretford, you can catch the 23 and get off at the Palatine Road stops on Barlow Moor Road and walk up (10 minutes).
Suggested Ticket: There are too many options to be able to recommend the best, it all depends on where you are coming from, your age, and personal preferences.
Walk Start: At West Didsbury Metrolink Stop at 11:40
Waypoints: Burton Road, Stanton Avenue, Darley Ave, Mersey Bank Playing Fields, Chorlton Water Park, Jackson’s Bridge, Chorlton Ees, Bowling Green Pub, Chorlton Metrolink Stop.
Return Services: Metrolink from Chorlton stop (East Didsbury/Airport Lines) every 15 minutes.
The 85/85A and 86 go to Picadilly Gardens from Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton.
The 23 and 25, also from Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton go to Stockport and Stretford.
Extra: There are toilets at Chorlton Water Park, which may or may not be open. Optional drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs).

This is the third in a series of easy Sunday Social walks along the Mersey Valley, designed to be accessible by bus and metrolink.
Starting at West Didsbury tram stop, we will make our way to the River Mersey at Stanton Avenue. We will follow the Mersey to Chorlton Water Park, where will have lunch. We will then continue past Jackson's Bridge to Chorlton Ees and Ivy Green Nature Reserve. Those who want to have post walk refreshments can stop at the Bowling Green pub.
Bring water and appropriate footwear and clothes for the terrain and weather
