Train Based Walk
Leader: Mark F
Difficulty: Moderate
Distance: 12.1km / 7.5mi
Ascent: 350m / 1148ft
Type: circular

This Edale circular walk is mostly low level and undulating. However, there is one long climb up to Hollins Cross to contend with. (for the views of the valley)
We follow mainly good paths, farm tracks and country lanes, however some of these may be muddy after rainfall and there are some stiles, so appropriate footwear and clothing must be worn.
We aim to meet up with the other (strenuous) walk at the end, at the Nags Head pub.

Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the Walk Start at Edale main car park. (opposite the railway station)

Transport to Walk Start: 10:48 train from Manchester Piccadilly to Edale (final destination Sheffield)

Suggested Ticket: Off-Peak Day Return to Edale £15.00

Walk Start: At Edale Main Car Park at 11:40

Waypoints: Pennine Way, Upper Booth, Highfield, The Orchard, Dalehead, Chapel Gate, Barber Booth, Harden Clough, Hollins Cross, Ollerbrook Booth, Nags Head

Return Services: XX:47

Extra: There are toilets at the start of the walk. Optional drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs).
