This walk from Glossop will head south, round about and back again. We will enjoy wide open spaces, so many shades of green, a variety of terrain and a moderately strenuous challenge.

There will be uphill climbs through green fields, the views from Cown Edge Way, mainly downhill over moorland, a lovely riverside path where small birds swoop, and lots of walking! There are magnificent views all along the route. Please note, there are some narrow paths with steep drops along Cown edge.

There are a number of stiles - wooden and across stone walls - in various states of repair, but none should prove too difficult.

There is no bail out point on this walk - but why leave?
