Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Manchester Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the Walk Start at Disley Railway Station

Transport to Walk Start: 09:51 train from Manchester Piccadilly to Disley

Suggested Ticket: Off Peak Disley Return £8.70

Walk Start: Disley Railway Sstation at 10:30

Return Services: 15:14, 15:34, 16:15, 16:42 etc

Waypoints: Lyme Park, The Cage, Timber Yard – Toilet stop, Knightslow Wood, Moorside, Birchencliffe, Lyme View Marina, Macclesfield Canal, Nelson’s pit

Extra: No toilets at walk start. Toilet at Lyme Park (2 miles) and Nelson's Pit (6.5 miles). Optional drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs)

This Disley circular walk takes in the varied landscapes of Lyme Park and the surrounding areas.

Expect moorland, forests, farmland and canal towpaths, with some steep ascents, but with mainly good paths.

There are some ladder stiles on this route and a railway crossing.
