Are you generous or mean? Is it as simple as that? Do you give only to folk you know or a charity (would that be local? or national?, or international?) Is it OK to expect thanks? Have you ever been in recepit of an altruistic act? Led by (a questionably beneficent) Peter

We can all promote reason by changing the mores of intellectual discussion, so people treat their beliefs as hypotheses to be tested rather than slogans to be defended. Whilst you may disagree with some ideas, we are here to have a civilised debate. Support others to share the time.
