Central Park Mandarin Exchange
Details
Join us for the Midtown Mandarin Exchange Picnic in Central Park!
This is YOUR chance to step outside, skip the classroom energy, and focus on what REALLY matters: REAL conversations with REAL people.
Join us on Sunday, April 12, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Thomas Moore Statue in Central Park for an afternoon of Mandarin practice, connection, and springtime good company.
After the get together, we'll also be organizing a trip to the iconic Chubby Skewers in Midtown. Make sure to let the event organizers know if you're interested!
📍 Thomas Moore Statue | Central Park, New York, NY
🕑 Sunday, April 12 | 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
We will gather for conversation, community, and a relaxed outdoor hangout in one of the city’s best settings. This meetup will also include a public speaking session, where participants are invited to briefly speak to the group about something they have learned, noticed, or experienced on their Mandarin journey. All levels are welcome.
Here is what you can expect:
- A mix of friendly faces. Get ready to chat, mingle, and laugh your way to fluency.
- Zero pressure, all fun. We are here to practice, not judge. Come as you are and let your Mandarin flow.
- A laid-back Central Park picnic atmosphere. Light beverages will be provided, and guests are encouraged to bring snacks to share.
This is your chance to:
- Boost your confidence and fluency through real conversations.
- Discover new ways to express yourself in Mandarin.
- Build lasting friendships in a warm and welcoming community.
- Reflect, share, and celebrate your progress with others.
P.S. We know schedules get busy, so we hope you can drop in and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the park with us. Feel free to bring friends who enjoy Chinese language and culture.
P.P.S. Want to stay connected between events? Join our invite-only WeChat or WhatsApp group. You can request access by emailing **rech.nyc@gmail.com**.
P.P.P.S. We plan to head to Chubby Skewers after the picnic, so if you are interested in joining for dinner, please let John know as soon as possible so we can get a sense of numbers.
A big thanks for reading. We know you are serious about taking your Mandarin to the next level, and we cannot wait to see you in Central Park.
