Welcome to our online language exchange designed for Mandarin beginners and English intermediate speakers who want to improve together through conversation, structure, and connection.

🎯 What to Expect:

This is not a class — it’s a guided practice environment. Each session focuses on everyday topics and uses simple, structured speaking exercises that help you build confidence.

## 📅 Format of Each Online Session

📝 Before the meetup:
The host will share a short worksheet with speaking prompts. Each participant fills it in before the event (in English and Mandarin if possible).

📣 During the meetup:

1. 👋 Introductions (15 min)
   Everyone reads their prepared introduction aloud and listens to others.
   Example:

2. ✈️ Topic of the Week – Guided Speaking (20 min)
   Everyone presents a short paragraph based on the topic (e.g. “My Last Holiday”) and answers simple questions from the group.

3. 🤝 Breakout Conversations (20 min)
   Practice speaking with partners in small groups. English speakers help Mandarin learners, and vice versa.

4. 🧠 Wrap-Up & Review (5 min)
   Share new words or phrases learned and reflect on the session.
