Mandel Public Library Lectures and Lifelong Learning

Tropical Travelers are a musical duo based in Lake Worth, Florida. Kevin sings and plays guitar, Debbie plays her flute, and together they create a unique sound. Along with Special Guest on Bass Guitar, Terry Weissberg, they will be performing love songs from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s to put you in the mood for Valentine’s Day.

Join Edith Hall Friedheim to discuss Johannes Brahm’s Symphony No.3 in F Major, Op. 9, which Frank Sinatra “borrowed” from for his song “Take My Love” and Igor Stravinsky’s Scherzo fantastique, Op. 3, which was inspired by the Maeterlinck essay “The Life of Bees” and was later was adapted for a ballet.
